Key Lime Squares:

Prep: 20 minutes  Cook time: 55 minutes


Key Lime Pie:  

Prep Time:  15 minutes

Cook Time: 8-10 minutes

 

Key Limeade

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

 

Crust:

1 cup of flour

1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

Lemon Part:

2 large eggs

1 egg yolk

1 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons of flour

1/4 cup of fresh key lime juice

1 tablespoon of key lime zest

1 teaspoon powdered sugar

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lighly oil/grease an 8 x 8 baking dish. 

2. Put 2 cup of flour and butter in a bowl and combine. Mix in 1/4 powdered sugar, vanilla extract, & salt until you have a crumbly mixture.

3. Use a little water and press the dough into the prepared greased baking dish to form the crust. Use a fork to poke a few holes in the crust.

4. Bake the crust about 23 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden brown

5. Beat eggs and yolk together in a bowl. Whisk in sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour until the mixture is smooth. Add key lime juice and key lime zest. Whisk for 4 minutes and pour lemon mixture over the crust

6. Bake about 25 minutes or unti the lemon mixture looks like a set custard. 

7. Let it cool completely before cutting. Dust with powdered sugar.

 

 

9 inch graham craker crust (or make your own)

3 cups sweetened condensed milk

1/2 sour cream

3/4 key lime juice (about 20-30 limes)

1 tablespoon of key lime zest

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2. In a medium bowl combine all the ingredients and mix well. Pour into graham cracker crust.

3. Bake for no more than 10 minutes. Do not brown. Look for the tiny bubbles popping at the top of the pie. 

4. Let pie cool completely.

5. Garnish as desired.

Optional; Serve with vaniall ice-cream or whip cream. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Equal parts sugar to water.

1. In a small pop heat 1 part sugar to  part water.

2. Stir constantly on medium heat until sugar dissolves (do not boi).

3. Let cool completely

4. Juice key limes and combine with water or club soda and simpe syrup to taste. Mix and enjoy!

5. Optional, add sugar to thr rim of the glass and/or fresh mint for an extra treat!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Art Project Instructions:

Key Lime Prints:

Materials: key limes, paint (I recommend washable), paper, paintbrush

1.  Wash and cut 2 to 3 key limes.

2.  Dip the key lime half or slice in then paint or paint on with a paintbrush and press onto the paper

3.  Let dry

Key Lime Roll n’ Paint:

Materials: cardboard box, paper, paint, key limes

1. Line the box with white paper (shoeboxes work great!)

2. Dip the key lime in the paint and drop it in the shoe box.

3. Roll the key lime around as desired and repeat with another color.
